Hsieh Su-Wei and Peng Shuai capped a dream week, not just winning the Qatar Total Open, but improving to 10-0 in WTA doubles finals together and achieving historic rankings.

But first, the business side of things - having won all three of their previous rounds in straight sets, the No.2-seeded Hsieh and Peng reeled off seven games in a row from 5-4 in the first set to completely shut the door on No.3 seeds Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik in Sunday's final, 6-4 6-0.

Hsieh and Peng now have 10 WTA doubles titles together and are a perfect 10-0 in finals, as well.

"Hopefully we'll have more finals!" Peng said. "But it was a great week for us. We played some very good teams this week, especially today in the final, and we're really happy to win this title."

Their 10 WTA doubles titles include one in 2008 (Bali), three in 2009 (Sydney, Rome and Beijing), five in 2013 (Rome, Wimbledon, Cincinnati, Guangzhou and the WTA Championships) and now Doha.

But there was even bigger news for Hsieh and Peng this week - by virtue of the week's results, they will replace Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci as the Top 2 doubles players in the world, Hsieh rising to No.2 (the highest ranking ever for a player from Chinese Taipei, male or female, singles or doubles) and Peng rising to No.1 (China's first World No.1, male or female, and in singles or doubles too).
