World No. 1 Neil Robertson recorded another nine-frame victory after edging past Mark Williams 5-4, making into last 16 at 2014 World Snooker China Open here on Wednesday.

"I'm very happy to get through. I know I'm not 100 percent healthy, but I'm still battling on," said Robertson.

After getting match point with 4-2, Robertson led by 63-0 in frame seven, but was forced to turn to defense as the white didn't stay in a right position. Then Williams had a break of 54.

After trailing by just nine points, Williams failed to put the pink into the net, the same as Robertson did afterwards.

Williams took the chance to hit pink and black successfully, taking one frame back.

In the eighth frame, Robertson once again lost the pink, before Williams made it 58-42 and secured the victory in this frame.

"I should have won the match before," admitted the defending champion.

Robertson will compete with China's Yu Delu for a quarter-finals spot. Yu saw off James Wattana of Thailand in an earlier match.

"I played with him once before. He's a good player. He will be very motivated to do well, as a Chinese player like Ding, to come through," said Robertson.
