The first day of action ended with fantastic action here at the 2014 European Taekwondo Championships on Thursday in Baku with four teams winning gold medals.
Swiss Nina Klaey won the women's 62kg category while Mustapha Hajer of France pocketing the women's 46kg title on the first day.
In the men's counterpart, Dimitrov Stepan of Moldova and Silla Arman Marshall of Belarus took the 54kg and over 87kg gold medals respectively.
"I am really excited and happy that why I celebrate it so much with my coach. I couldn't believe that I made it," Hajer said.
"It was a difficult day for me. I stayed focus on this and I was properly prepared. I will keep working hard in taekwondo and meantime I will focus on my studies and become a sport's teacher, " she added.
The European Taekwondo Championships run from April 30-May 4.
