The torch of the inaugural European Games in 2015 will be lit two months before the start, Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov said here on Wednesday.

"As we know, Greece is the place where the Olympic torch is lit. However, it is possible that the torch can be lit elsewhere but we need a permission for that," Rahimov said.

The flame will travel through Azerbaijan, he said, adding that it could be lit at the Azerbaijan's Yanar Dag (Fire Mountain) or Ateshgah Temple.
