Two-time Majors champion Li Na and coach Carlos Rodriguez are parting ways after nearly two years together.

Li's agent, Max Eisenbud, said Rodriguez is no longer able to travel on the tennis circuit. Instead, he will spend more time at his tennis academy in Beijing.

Li hired the Argentinian, who used to coach seven-time Grand Slam title winner Justine Henin, in August 2012.

Rodriguez helped Li win this year's Australian Open, which she added to her championship at the 2011 French Open.

She is the only tennis player from China to win Grand Slam singles titles.

But she lost in the first round at Roland Garros in May, and in the third round at Wimbledon last week tumbled out to Czech world No 43 Barbora Strycova.

Rodriguez wants to focus on the Potter's Wheel International Tennis Center in Beijing, business partner Ding Ding said.

"He made the decision before Wimbledon but he didn't tell her then because he was afraid that it would affect her preparations," Ding was quoted as saying on tencent.com.
