China's center Tao Hanlin slams dunk in the game.

Team China took a rather facile 84-37 win against Singapore in the quarterfinals of 2014 FIBA Asia Cup on Thursday.

China will battle Chinese Taipei, who defeated Japan 76-62, on Friday for a spot in the final, while Iran beat Jordan 75-60 to set up a clash with the Philippines, who edged India 70-66, in the other semifinal.

After an opening quarter of meaningless turnovers, China led by 18-10 thanks to the nine points contributed by center Tao Hanli. Then they began to take complete control, scoring 20 points in the second quarter while Singapore hit only four free throws during the 10 minutes.

Two 3-pointers respectively from Gao Shang and Gu Quan opened China's attack after halftime, helping their team build the lead to over 30 points.

Singapore added 7 more points in the whole quarter as China pulled away to 64-21.

In the last quarter, Gu Quan and Gao Shang again shone behind the arc, with Gu grabbing game high 15 points and Gao tallying 14.
