The autodrome in Sochi which will hold the 2014 Formula One Russian Grand Prix is ready for the races, a senior F1 official said Tuesday.

"The circuit is in very good condition and will be issued with a license," F1 Race Director Charlie Whiting told reporters after inspecting the autodrome.

Sergei Vorobyov, chief organizer of the race, said the inspection commission of the International Automobile Federation has held "the last inspection" of the autodrome.

He also said some 30,000 tickets, or 60 percent, have been sold for the first Grand Prix Russia that will be held in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Oct. 10-12.

The ticket prices range from 5,000 rubles (some 140 U.S. dollars) in an open standing area to 162,000 rubles (about 4,500 dollars) in VIP lounges.

Vorobyov said the tickets were expected to be sold out by the end of September, adding that no cheap tickets had been left.

Sochi has hosted the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in February and March this year, which have received wide recognition from both home and abroad.
