The Portuguese side made a strong start to their Champions League Group H game on Wednesday. Porto slammed BATE Borisov 6-0 at the Dragon Stadium in north Portugal, with a hat-trick by Yacine Brahimi.

Brahimi scored in the 5th minute with a left-footed effort to the second post, and he scored again in the 32nd.

Jackson Martinez scored 5 minutes later with a header and Brahimi scored in the 57th with a free kick.

Adrian Lopez made it 5-0 in the 61st and Vincent Aboubakar closed the scoring in the 76th.

The Portuguese side was eliminated in the group stages last season, and the visitors have never made it past this stage in the competition.

Athletic Bilbao and Shakhtar Donetsk drew 0-0 in the other Group H game.
