Petra Kvitova downs Eugenie Bouchard to clinch Wuhan Open title in repeat of one-sided Wimbledon final.

Petra Kvitova backed up her lopsided win over Eugenie Bouchard at Wimbledon with another emphatic victory over the Canadian to capture the inaugural Wuhan Open title on Saturday.

The No.3-seeded Kvitova had won the pair's only two previous meetings handily in straight sets, including a 55-minute, 6-3, 6-0 drubbing in the Wimbledon final this summer, and she did it again this time, breaking early in both sets and hanging onto those breaks to win in straights, 6-3, 6-4.

And the Czech is now the fourth player to qualify for the WTA Finals in Singapore, following Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Simona Halep. Four spots remain in the elite eight singles field.

Kvitova broke early in the second set to go up 2-0, but seemed to lose her rhythm after Bouchard injured her finger during a rally and began mixing up the pace on her shots.

The Czech world no.3 was broken while serving for the match at 5-2, but quickly recovered to put the Canadian away.
