Myanmar's football authorities have been fined for 24,000 US dollars after their fans invaded the pitch after a AFC U-19 game.

The hosts Myanmar beat the United Arab Emirates 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the AFC U-19 Championship on Friday to clinch a place in the U20 World Cup. Dozens of fans invaded the pitch to celebrate after the match.

The Asian Football Confederation's disciplinary committee fined the Myanmar Football Federation 24,000 US dollars after finding it had failed "to guarantee law and order as well as safety at the venue", the AFC said in a Monday's statement.

Myanmar will meet Qatar to vie for a spot in the final of the U-19 Championship semifinals on Monday.
