China has secured both women's singles and doubles titles ahead of Sunday's finals at the 275,000 U.S. dollars badminton French Open.
World No. 1 Li Xuerui took a sweet revenge on Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, beating the 2013 world champion 21-18, 21-12 in just 37 minutes.
"It proves that I've been making progress since the distressing defeat at last year's world championships women's singles final," said Li, who came to Paris with a brand-new Denmark Open trophy from last week's BWF World Superseries tournament.
"I can feel my improvement on mental control," added the 23-year-old. "I'm more patient on court and won't let myself make the same mistakes as I did last year."
With the straight-set victory, the top-seeded Li set up a title match against teammate Wang Shixian after the world No. 2 won a Chinese derby against third seed Wang Yihan, 21-12, 22-20.
The women's doubles final on Sunday afternoon will also be a Chinese affair, after the fifth seeds Ma Jin/Tang Yuanting overcame Shizuka Matsuo/Mami Naito of Japan 19-21, 21-11, 21-14 and the seventh-seeded Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang beat fellow Chinese Luo Ying/Luo Yu 22-20, 21-7.
Events other than women's play, however, witnessed a much more lackluster performance from Chinese shuttlers, as the fifth-seeded men's singles player Wang Zhengming came out the sole survivor of China.
Wang, a straight-set winner over Japanese Kento Momota, will meet Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen in Sunday's final after the latter upset fourth seed Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia 14-21, 21-18, 21-19.
The last mixed doubles pair from China, Xu Chen and Ma Jin, lost 21-17, 21-16 to Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir of Indonesia, who will play Chiris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock of England in Sunday's final.
And the top two seeds, Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen from Denmark and Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa of Japan, booked a final matchup in the men's doubles.
