Guangdong extends winning streak to 10 games

Guangdong claimed an easy home victory over Jilin 116-93, extending its winning streak to ten games in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Guangdong's Zhu Fangyu scored 31 points, including 9 three-pointers, Yi Jianlian had 29 points and seven rebounds, Will Bynum finished with 17 points and 9 assists, Chris Daniels had 8 points and 11 rebounds and Wang Shipeng added 11 points.

Despite of 68 points from their foreign trio, Jilin only hit 4 of 25 from 3-point range and they grabbed 20 less rebounds than Guangdong in the whole game.

Bayi encountered seven-straight losses as they were defeated by the defending champion Beijing 118-88. Six Beijing players scored double digits. Randolph Morris contributed a double-double of 21 points and10 rebounds, Li Gen had 14 points, Sun Yue scored 17 points and Zhang Songtao added 15 points.

Lester Hudson scored 34 points and Guo Ailun added 18 points and 11 assists to lead Liaoning to a 109-101 road victory over Sichuan, sending their opponents the third straight loss.

Elsewhere in the CBA, the foreign trio scored 80 points and helped newly-promoted Tongxi beat Fujian 128-123. Josh Akognon had a game-high 39 points, including 10 three-pointers, to lead Foshan to a victory over Tianjin. Chongqing were defeated by Xinjiang 111-95, extending its losing streak to seven games.

In other games, Dongguan beat Shandong 89-78, Shanxi overwhelmed Shanghai 116-94, Qingdao downed Jiangsu 133-15 and Guangsha were127-115 winners over Zhejiang.
