Beijing released ten songs for the 2022 Winter Olympics bid on Wednesday, aiming to further promote Olympic Spirit and spark Winter Olympics enthusiasm among people.

These songs were produced and performed by some famous Chinese musicians including Jackie Chan, Sun Nan, Tan Jing and Guo Feng.

"I'm quite honored to sing the Olympics song, and I don't want to miss any chance to make contributions to the bid," said Chan, also known worldwide as an action movie star.

The song selection was initiated last August and more than 60 songs from professional musicians have been received.

"Music is one of the best ways to promote and inherit the Olympic Spirit. When Beijing held the 2008 Summer Games, we also produced some famous Olympics songs including Welcome to Beijing," said Jiang Xiaoyu, deputy director of the Beijing Olympics and City Development Promotion Association.

"I think music related to the Olympics can also get more people involved in bidding for the Winter Olympics," he added.

The International Olympic Committee will vote on Beijing's bid race against Almaty, Kazakhstan, on July 31 in Kuala Lumpur.
