Li Nina

Nicknamed 'Snow Princess', Li is the most successful aerial skier of China. She took part in four Winter Olympic Games in a row from 2002 to 2014 and won silver at both the 2006 and 2010 Games. Li also won three world championships titles in aerial.

Li Jiajun

Li Jiajun won the silver medal in the men's 1,000m short track speed skating event in 1998 Winter Olympic Games, becoming China's first male athlete to win a Winter Olympics medal. He also won a bronze medal in 5000m relay in the same Games.

Xu Nannan

Chinese freestyle skier Xu Nannan won a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan in the aerials event. Xu's medal was China's first Olympic medal in snow sports.

Zhang Hong

Zhang Hong stormed to victory in the women's 1,000m speed skating in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, winning China's first Winter Olympic gold in the event.

Chen Lu

Chen Lu won China's first- ever Olympic medal in figure skating in Lillehammer, Norway in 1994, winning the bronze medal for a stellar performance.

Zhou Yang

Zhou Yang won the gold medal in the 1500m short track speed skating event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada and defended the title four years later in Sochi, Russia. Also in Vancouver, Zhou won another gold medal in 3000m relay.

Wang Meng

She is the most decorated Chinese Winter Olympic athlete ever with four Olympic gold medals, a silver and a bronze. Wang also won 18 gold medals at the world championships. She is one of the most decorated short track speed skaters of all time.

Shen Xue\Zhao Hongbo

Shen and Zhao were the first Chinese pair team to win a medal at an International Skating Union event and at the World Figure Skating Championships. In 2002, they became the first Chinese pair skating team to win a World Championship. In 2010, they became the first Chinese skaters to win the gold medal at a Winter Olympic Games in any figure skating category.

Ye Qiaobo

Ye competed in speed skating-races in the 1992 Winter Olympics and1994 Winter Olympics. In 1992, she won the silver medal in the 500 metres event as well as in the 1000 metres competition. Her silver in the 500m is the first ever medal for a Chinese athlete at the Winter Olympics.

Yang Yang

She is a two-time Olympic champion from 2002 Winter Olympics and a six-time Overall World Champion for 1997-2002. Yang is one of the most accomplished short track speed skaters of all time having won 34 world titles. Her victory in the women's 500 m short track at the 2002 Winter Olympics made her China's first-ever Winter Olympics gold medalist.
