Mercedes team-mates Lewis Hamilton (United Kingdom) and Nico Rosberg (Germany) looked fierce on the track on Friday after finishing with the fastest times ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix which will take place on Sunday in Sao Paulo (southeast) as part of the Formula One (F1) World Championship 2015. 

   In the first practice session, the 30-year-old Brit took the lead with a time of one minute 13.543 seconds per lap. Rosberg was hot on Hamilton's heels with a time of one minute 14.620 seconds. 

   In this session German Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari registered third with a time of one minute 14.168 seconds and Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo (Australia) came in almost one second off the pace. 

   However in the second practice session the tables were turned and Rosberg finished faster than Hamilton by almost half a second. 

   Hamilton told local media his aim is to win on the track at Interlagos (Sao Paulo). This track holds special memories for the Brit as it was on this track where, in 2008, Hamilton won his first title despite coming fifth place in the race. 

   After eight years competing, Hamilton has still to win a race in the South American country, the home of deceased driver Ayrton Senna whom the English competitor admired. 

   "It is one of the tracks that I still have not won on and if I am able to change this at the weekend then it will be in honour of Senna and another high point in this marvellous year," said Hamilton. 

   The Brit remembered that Senna himself also took eight years to win the Brazilian Grand Prix. 

   However, as the track's defending champion, Rosberg is not expected to make the race easy for his team-mate.
