Tennis megastar Roger Federer and Chinese tennis player Wu Di entertained thousands of fans in Shanghai at a special event organized by the 2017 Shanghai Rolex Masters and Shanghai Disney Resort on Saturday.

A medley of Disney theme songs were performed and a mesmerizing display of moving clouds projected onto the roof of the Qi Zhong Stadium, where Federer and Wu appeared at the Family Day event to be greeted by a cheering crowd. Federer partnered Mickey Mouse while Wu Di had Goofy on his side for a playful doubles match eventually won by the former.

The afternoon festivities also included 4-on-4 doubles with Disney characters, while a few lucky children had a relay race involving giant racquets and giant balls. When it came time for dance punishments, Federer performed his dance repertoire to vivid Disney music, showing a lovable side absent when he is normally on court trying to win.

The event was a warm-up for the nine-day Shanghai Rolex Masters from Oct. 7-15.

World No. 1 Rafael Nadal of Spain and No. 2 Roger Federer of Switzerland could meet in the final, for the 38th time, if they can negotiate the preceding rounds against other top players including Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain, Marin Cilic of Croatia and Kevin Anderson of South Africa.
