CSCLF Vice-chairman Jing Dunquan, President of Wu Jieping Medical Foundation Xiao Meng, Senior Consultant of the Barcelona Football Club Carlos Blanco, the CSCLF's Funding Department chief Tang Jiuhong and Chinese and foreign experts, scholars and specialists in sports, education and health attended the launch ceremony.

The Play Fund is devised in response to the challenges and opportunities that China's early childhood physical education is facing. With physical education as the starting point, the focus is on cultivating children's physical quality, psychological tolerance and strong personality, and ultimately enhancing their comprehensive ability and creativity with scientific methods, innovative thinking, and a sustainable model.

Jing Dunquan said, "We hope to use innovative thinking and technology to provide children with good quality physical education and promote the all-round development of Chinese children's sports and health level."

Xiao Meng said youth was the hope and future of the country. The cultivation of outstanding young talents should start from early childhood.

"I hope our children can learn through play, and develop in a comprehensive way, so that they can be qualified to perform their due role when they grow up," Xiao said.

Liu Hong from Shenzhen Ronghua Capital Management Company said: "The launch of the Play Fund marks a new milestone in China's youth physical education and healthy development, and we look forward to contributing to children, families and society in this area."

Early childhood is an important period for the healthy development of a person's body and mind, and an important stage for the development of good health habits. These not only help the children in building a healthy body and an optimistic personality, but also lay a solid foundation for their learning and growth.

Preschool physical education is a systematic and specialized subject requiring standard textbooks, professionally-trained physical education teachers, and a model enabling effective promotion. However, China's early childhood physical education started relatively late and the level is relatively low. Professional sports teachers are extremely scarce, with a gap between supply and demand estimated at nearly two million.

In addition, there is a lack of physical education books for children aged from three to six, and the necessary standardization and training and certification systems have yet to be established.
