In the men's event, Yan Langyu, who topped the qualification, kept his form in the final to beat Tokyo silver medalist Dong Dong for the title in 61.660 points, with an advantage of 0.915 points for the time of flight.

"I had a lapse on Sunday, but I quickly adjusted and stayed concentrated in the execution on Monday. I'm younger than Dong, that might be the reason why I could score higher points in the time of flight," said the 22-year-old. "I will make more efforts to prepare for more competitions in October and November."
