France, Austria split freestyle ski cross golds at Universiade

France and Austria split the men's and women's ski cross golds in the freestyle skiing competitions of the 24th Harbin Winter Universiade on Friday.

Antoine Galland of France crowned in the men's final, beating Andreas Tischedorf from Germany to the second place. Swiss Manuel Eicher took the bronze ahead of German skier Klaus Hermann Witzmann.

In the women's final, Austria's Katrin Ofner held off Carlotta Nicoletta of France for the top honor while Russian skiers Yulia Livinskaya and Viktoria Struk came in third and fourth respectively.
