Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo will miss out in playing in Saturday's game at the Jamor stadium against Greece in the Portuguese capital due to muscular aches, coach Paulo Bento said on Friday.

"We have some constraints, which mean some players won't be able to be used. We have little more than 24 hours left for the game but we have an idea of what we can do tomorrow," Bento told journalists.

He added: "We don't have time for Cristiano Ronaldo to get back on the pitch. His physical well-being and health come first."

Ronaldo joined the team but failed to appear in the pitch for training in the small central town of Obidos on Thursday just as his Real Madrid teammates Pepe and Fabio Coentrao. They had had a four-day rest following their 4-1 victory over city rivals Atletico Madrid in the European Champions League final held in Lisbon last Saturday.

Ronald helped his team to win the 10th European Champions League title with a penalty score during the second half of the 30- minute extra time.

The Real Madrid player is his country's top scorer, with 49 goals in 110 appearances.
