Shandong Luneng notched the biggest win in round one of the 2006 CSL championship, with Li Jinyu scoring twice and Zheng Zhi once in a 3-1 home victory over newly-promoted Xiamen Lanshi.

Li opened the scoring on 24 minutes but last season's top scorer Branko Jelic, playing his first competitive match for Xiamen since transferring from Beijing in the close season, levelled in the 75th minute.

Zheng Zhi restored Shandong's lead a minute later before Li Jinyu made extra sure of the points with his second of the game with five minutes remaining.
