China to Test Olympic Diving Squad
Adjust font size:

13 divers will participate in all ten events, with many of the athletes expecting to make their international debut.

Inexperienced though, the young divers have the strength of reaching the top of the podium. The favorites include 15-year-old Jia Tong who hit the stardom at last year's Montreal World Championships when she captured a gold and a bronze medal at the 10 meter platform. She had a more spectacular performance this year, winning six golds and one silver out of the seven competitions she participated.

Rookies are also expected to make remarkable marks at men's platform competitions. Teenagers Lin Yue, Huo Liang and Zhou Lvxing are among the young talents while He Chong will make his splash at all three board events.

In addition, Olympic and world champion Guo Jingjing will lead the veterans to ensure a dream showpiece from the Chinese squad.
