U23 Coach Trims Asian Games Squad

China's new Olympic coach Ratomir Dujkovic has picked a revised 18-man squad for the Asian Games, after successfully taking charge of China's Under-23 with a 1-0 win over Cameroon on Sunday.

The 60-year-old Serbian, appointed coach last month of China's youth team until the 2008 Beijing Games, has named senior national captain Zheng Zhi, Sun Xiang and Ji Mingyi as the three over-age players permitted in the U-23 squad.

The squad also includes national team regular Zhou Haibin in midfield and 17-year-old goalkeeper, Wang Dalei.

China have been pooled in second round Group E with Oman, Malaysia and the winner of first round Group B.

The 15th Asian Games open in Doha, Qatar on December 1.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Wang Dalei, Guan Zhen

Defenders: Ji Mingyi, Feng Xiaoting, Liu Yu, Yuan Weiwei, Zhao Ming, Sun Xiang, Tan Wangsong

Midfielders: Zheng Zhi, Zhao Xuri, Zhou Haibin, Hao Junmin, Lu Lin

Forwards: Gao Lin, Mao Jianqing, Zhu Ting, Chen Tao
