Sun Tiantian Wins Auckland Open Opening Round
Adjust font size:

Chinese Sun Tiantian scored her easy victory over Leanne Baker of New Zealand in the opening round of the Auckland Open women's singles tennis tournament on Monday.

The Olympic double winner disposed the 25-year-old Baker, who ranked 81st in the world, in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 in under an hour as she controlled the match from the very beginning while the Kiwi seemed flat.

Baker admitted things didn't start well and never really improved.
