Triple-Crown for China at Malaysia Open Badminton

China's badminton team claimed three titles in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday as the 2007 Malaysia Open badminton championship came to an end.

China's Zhu Lin won the women's singles title after defeating Wong Mew Choo of Malaysia 21-15, 21-12 in 42 minutes.

Chinese duo of Gao Ling/Huang Sui successfully defended their women's doubles title after beating the Indonesian pair of Greysa Polii/Vita Marissa 19-21, 21-12, 21-11.

Chinese pair Zheng Bo/Gao Ling overcame Great Britain's Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms 2-0, taking away the champions title in the mixed doubles.

However, China's renowned male shuttler Bao Chunlai lost to strong Danish opponent Peter Gade in the men's singles final 15-21, 21-17, 14-21.

Malaysia's Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong emerged as men's doubles champions, beating the American-Indonesian combination of Tony Gunawan and Candra Wijaya.

The Malaysian Open is the first event in the Badminton World Federation's Super Series tour with the second leg to be held in South Korea.
