Two Golds for China at Asian Championships

Chinese weightlifter Jiang Hairong won three gold medals in men's 85kg category at Asian Weightlifting Championships in Tai'an on Wednesday.

Jiang, 27, national champion, hoisted 373kg in total, with 173kg in snatch and 200kg in clean and jerk.

Moldodosov Ulanbek from Kyrgyzstan took the silver at 337kg. Lee Se-Won from South Korea settled for the bronze at 330kg.

Jiang began his first attempts with 163kg in snatch and 193kg in jerk both after other 12 competitors finished their lifts. He snatched 173kg after failing the second lift of 170kg and failed in his third jerk lift with 205kg.
 
In the women's 69 kg event, Liu Haixia hoisted 262kg in a two-lift total to win the gold medal.

The 27-year-old lifted 112 kg in the snatch and 150 kg in the jerk for the top honor.

Minh Hai Khuat of Vietnam took the silver at 205 kg. Kao Ya-chun of Chinese Taipei settled for the bronze at 203 kg.
