Asian Archery championships conclude in Xi'an, China

The 15th Asian Archery Championships concluded in Xi'an on Thursday with six Olympic quotas distributed through the last day's competitions.

Ika Yuliana Rochmawati of Indonesia beat Japanese Yuki Hayashi 107-105 to finish first in the women's recurve Olympic qualifying tournament and Rochmawati's teammate Rina Dewi Puspitasari trounced Olga Pilipova of Kazakhstan 107-99 for the third place.

According to the rules, Indonesia took two of the three Olympic quotas on offer with the other one awarded to Japan.

In the men's category, Mark Javier of the Philippines, Mangal Singh of India and Wan Mohd Khalmizam Ab Aziz from Malaysia finished in top three, clinching Olympic berths for respective countries.
