For the doubles, top seed Chinese pair Yan Zi/Sun Tiantian had a walk-over victory as opponent pair Ayumi Morita/Junri Namigata from Japan abstained.

The Bangkok Open, a WTA Tier III event, started on Oct. 8 at the National Tennis Development Center, Muangthong Thani on the outskirts of Bangkok, offering a prize money of US$200,000.
