Fans give Knicks coach Thomas a giant pink slip
Adjust font size:

New York Knicks fans rallied outside Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, calling on management to fire coach Isiah Thomas.

Chanting "Fire Isiah! He's got to go! Good-bye!," dozens of fed-up Knicks fans gave Isiah Thomas a symbolic heave-ho, signing an 8-foot-high pink slip urging Garden chief executive James Dolan to dump the coach. The pink slip protest was just the latest movement in a continuing fan revolt in the wake of the team's dismal 7-17 start.

At the rally, other signs read "Dump Isiah" and "Restore Knicks Pride."

On Wednesday night, Knicks will play against Cleveland. More calls for Thomas to step down are expected at the game.
