Wang Meng, Turin Olympic women's 500m titlist, won women's short-track speed skating pursuit gold at the 11th National Winter Games in Qiqihar, Northeast China on Thursday.

 

Wang Meng, 23, finished in one minute 8.784 seconds. Zhao Nannan from Changchun came in the second in 1:10.299. The bronze medal went to Mudanjiang's Liu Qiuhong, who clocked in 1:10.760.

 

Short-track speed skating series are slated for January 24, 2008 24 to January 27.
