Wang Feng and Qin Kai, winner of the men's 3-meter synchronized springboard event in the 2007 Melbourne World Championships, have set their sights on the gold in the "Good Luck Beijing" 16th FINA World Cup in Beijing on Monday.

Qin, 22, is going to show some of his talent in the men's 3m synchronized springboard diving on Tuesday.

The competition will be quite intense with many world famous divers participating.

Their challengers will be Alexandre Despatie/Arturo Miranda of Canada, runner-up of the event in the 2007 Worlds and Andreas Wels/Tobias Schellenberg of Germany, runner-up of the event in the Athens Olympic Games and bronze medalist in 2007 Worlds.

Thomas Bimis of Greece, winner of the event in the Athens Olympic Games, paired with Alexandros Manos this time, while Russia's "diving czar" Dmitry Sautin, winner of the event in 2003 Worlds, will take part in Tuesday's event with teenage partner Yuriy Kunakov.

The 16th FINA Diving World Cup, which runs from Feb. 19 to 25, serves as an Olympic qualifier and attracts 296 divers from 56 countries and regions.
