Bolivian President Evo Morales is in the lineup of Litoral, a soccer club from La Paz ready for its debut in the second division league, Litoral's player Juan Apaza said on Wednesday.

Morales will play as midfielder for Litoral to protest the world soccer body FIFA's ban on soccer games at stadiums located 2,750 meters above sea level, according to news reaching here from La Paz, Bolivia.

Morales, 48, is expected to play for his team on Saturday against Deportivo Zuraca.

"It is an honor" that Morales accepted to play, said Litoral's coach Elmer Pardo.
