Top 20 Chinese philanthropists of 2010

Forbes China has published its 2011 Top 100 China Charity List, based on their donations last year. The 100 philanthropists on the list made a total of 8.12 billion yuan, an increase of 214 percent over last year. Sixteen of those on the list made a donation of over 100 million yuan each. Following are the top 20 philanthropists as ranked by Forbes.

   Ou Zongrong

   Donation: 83.77 million yuan (US$12.9 million)


Ou Zongrong, chairman of Zhenro Group, donated 83.77 million yuan ($ 12.9 million) in 2010.

 

Zhenro Group, established in 1998 in Fujian Province, is a large-scale investment conglomerate engaged in real estate development, infrastructure construction and asset management.
