   HP TouchPad

Market Price: Slashed from US$499 to US$99 for the 16 GB variant, and from US$599 to US$149 for the 32 GB variant.

The brilliant 9.7-inch HP TouchPad, available in 16 and 32 GB variants, made its debut on July 1 this year featuring the state-of-the-art webOS operating system, essential productivity apps, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core APQ8060 processor and Wi-Fi connectivity. It's believed to be better than the Apple's iPad in productivity and web browsing. Some of its limitations include: absence of a high-resolution rear camera and lack of entertainment and media options. The price of the device fell to US$99 (16 GB) and US$149 (32GB) after HP, in a drastic structural reshuffling, announced its decision to kill off the TouchPad tablet and the webOS smartphone line on Aug. 19. The device lasted only 49 days after its launch, and many online retailers are now clearing out this tablet at rock-bottom prices.
