University of Hong Kong (HKU) is the oldest university in Hong Kong, and with a history that stretches back more than 100 years, it has grown with and helped shape the city from which it takes its name. Today, HKU is a dynamic, comprehensive university of world-class standing. With 10 faculties and numerous research centers, its reputation as a center of intellectual excellence is recognized around the world. At present, the university has more than 20,500 students and 2,250 academic staff.
