Research firm NPD Group has released a list of the United States' best-selling games of 2012. "Call of Duty: Black Ops II," published by Activision Blizzard, tops the list. The year 2012 marked the fourth consecutive year in which one of the "Call of Duty" games held the top-selling position.
The list is based on data collected from the sales of physical goods rather than digital downloads. Overall, the total U.S. video game 2012 sales in the country hit US$13.26 billion, down 22 percent from 2011's US$16.99 billion.

"FIFA Soccer 13," also known as "FIFA 13," is the most recent edition of Electronic Arts' highly-acclaimed association football "FIFA" video game series. A demo of the game was released on Sept. 11, 2012. That same monthit was officially published in most regions of the world -- and in Japan in Oct. of the same year. All leagues from "FIFA 12" are included in the new game, with the addition of the Saudi Professional League for the first time in the series' history. "FIFA 13" also includes some new features, such as first touch control and new celebrations.
