Top 10 Chinese companies 2013

Sinopec, PetroChina and State Grid became the largest companies in China this year, according to the latest Fortune ranking of the world's top companies in 2013.

Sinopec, with revenues of US$428.17 billion, remained the largest Chinese company on the 2013 list, closely followed by the US$408.63 billion of PetroChina and the US$298.45 billion of State Grid.

The past year also saw an unprecedented performance of Chinese companies on the global market, with 95 enterprises squeezing their way onto the 2013 Fortune's Global 500 list. Total revenues of these Chinese companies reached US$5.2 trillion, accounting for 17 percent of the total number of the Global 500.

The 16 Chinese newcomers include Taipei-based Pegatron Corporation, China Minsheng Banking and Beijing Automotive Group.
