Located in the southeast corner of Changsha's city center, the Tianxin Pavilion Park is a major attraction of the city, as well as the only historical landmark of Changsha. Covering an area of 2.67 hectares, the park features a pavilion, well-preserved ancient walls and several other architectural highlights.

The pavilion was originally built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and renovated in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It was destroyed in 1938 and rebuilt in 1983. With three stories, it measures 17.5 meters in height, supported by 60 wood pillars. The park, a classically constructed mini-garden, was built in 1924 to protect the pavilion.
