# Tsing Ma Bridge

Spanning 1,377 meters, the Tsing Ma Bridge is the main corridor connecting Hong Kong's Tsing Yi island and Ma Wan island. Construction took five years starting in 1992 and the bridge opened to traffic in May 1997. In December 1999, Hong Kong issued a collection of postage stamps themed "The Advent of the New Millennium," one of which featured the iconic bridge.
