Ditan, also known as the Temple of Earth, is the second largest imperial altar in Beijing. It was used to worship the God of Earth during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). The park has some of the city's oldest gingko trees. Fall foliage creates one of the most beautiful sights of the year when the trees turn gold.

Best time for sightseeing: Mid-October to mid-November
