Launched on Sept. 25, 2008, the Shenzhou-7 spaceship had three astronauts on board. During the nearly three-day mission, taikonaut Zhai Zhigang completed China's first spacewalk, staying in outer space for 20 minutes.

The spaceship also had accompanying satellites and completed a number of technological experiments, opening a new chapter for China's manned space program.
