Goose liver, or foie gras, a delicacy often associated with France, is now a specialty of Anhui province in China, which has become the country's top producer of goose liver. Thanks to the introduction of a special French goose breed, Landes, and the province's favorable climate and soil conditions, Anhui's foie gras industry is valued at nearly 2 billion yuan ($280 million) annually.

Enhancing the culinary experience, Anhui also produces whiskey and vodka, offering a globally-inspired feast without leaving China.
