The distribution of China's top 500 service companies is consistent with economic development. Many of the top 500 in 2010 are based in developed areas.

Three hundred and fifty-five of China's top 500 service companies, or 71 percent, are based in East China; 64 companies (12.8 percent) are based in Central China; and 24 (4.8 percent) are based in Northeast China.
Most of the economic aggregate of the top 500 Chinese service companies is produced in East China. The revenue of the companies based in the East is 10.4174 trillion yuan, accounting for 89.5 percent of the total revenue of the top 500. The profits of these companies reached 822.9 billion yuan, accounting for 95.7 percent, and their assets hit 73.4580 trillion yuan, accounting for 95.6 percent. Details are in Tables 3-8 and 3-9.
