The ancient Roman city of Volubilis is known as one of Morocco's best-preserved ruins, located between the imperial cities of Fez and Meknes. Built in a fertile plain, it was the administrative center of the kingdom of Mauretania and also one of the colonial cities within the Roman Empire. [Photo by Wang Xinning/China.org.cn]
