Located just outside the Moroccan capital city of Rabat, Chellah is a medieval Islamic burial ground built atop ancient Roman ruins. It was abandoned in the 12th century and further damaged by the Lisbon earthquake in 1755. Now it is an overgrown and atmospheric site adorned with storks' nests. [Photo by Wang Xinning/China.org.cn]
