The Legoland Discovery Center Beijing revealed to public on Mar 21 its Miniland area, offering children and parents a sneak peek of Lego's first discovery center in North China, which is due to open on Apr 15.

Paying homage to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Miniland area showcases the major landmarks of Beijing, from the must-see historical sites including the Forbidden Palace and the Great Wall, to the central business district with skyscrapers iconic to modern Beijing.

According to the discovery center, Miniland was built by 26 Lego masters, eight architects, one project designer and six animators. The project took the team 7,250 hours and used over 510,000 Lego bricks.
