Zhongwei of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Beijing have joined hands to build the Western Cloud Base of Zhongguancun Science Park according to the innovative mode of "having stores in front and factories behind", it was learned from the New Generation Cloud Computing Sub-forum of the Online Silk Road Forum in Ningxia.

Zhongwei introduces some leading enterprises like Amazon AWS cloud computing, and a new generation of cloud computing data center is set up in Zhongwei.

The Zhongwei government announced that the large-scale data center customized for Amazon AWS, and Qihoo 360 has been constructed and under test, and the service center of common information (backup and restoration against disasters) for enterprises directly under central management is in the process of construction. This marks that a new generation of cloud computing data center which is refrigerated by whole natural wind, customized in modular manner and arranged with super-large scale is founded.

Wan Xinheng, the mayor of Zhongwei said that Beijing and Zhongwei signed a strategic agreement to build Zhongguancun Science Park (Ningxia) together in November 2013. Relying on Zhongguancun’s advantages of brands, technology, talents and projects, and Ningxia’s merits of energy, climate and land, a green energy-saving and internationally leading western cloud computing base is under construction.
