Travel to Dunhuang all alone, walk around, and talk to yourself and the sky: this is an ideal way to experience this tranquil and solitary place.

Free from densely-located high-rises and heavy traffic, Dunhuang presents more than imagination when you actually step on this land.

Here, you feel like making a time travel through history to experience the hustle and bustle along the ancient Silk Road.

At the Echoing-Sand Mountain and the Crescent Moon Spring, you will be awed by the natural wonder of sand and water coexisting. Sitting on the hillside at 7:00 pm and watching the sunset, you will be amazed by the scene of the yellow sand and the blue sky setting off each other and feel inner peace.

At Mogao Grottoes, whose beauty is beyond description, the scene of craftsmen busy making the caves seems to appear before your eyes.

At the ruins of the Yangguan Pass, the flowing dunes have eroded this Great Wall pass into a broken beacon tower, standing alone in the boundless desert. Around the relic, you cannot even see the dismantled walls, because they were all eroded by the wind and buried under earth.
