Chinese President Hu Jintao met with Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Macao SAR Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On here Friday afternoon.

Hu welcomed the two chief executives and their delegations to attend the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Expo.

The Hong Kong and Macao pavilions were well built with their original designs and distinctive features, and showcased the Hong Kong and Macao SARs' achievements and potentials for future development, Hu said.

Hu expressed his confidence of a brighter future of Hong Kong and Macao with the support of the central government and concerted efforts of compatriots in the two regions.

Vice President Xi Jinping was present at the meeting.
