Brunei is the highlight of the ongoing Shanghai World Expo on Saturday, as the country celebrates its national pavilion day. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports presented an exotic show to entertain the expo visitors.

Brunei Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mohamed Bolkiah attended the opening ceremony. He is the first royal family member to participate in the pavilion day activity at the expo.

The artists sing and dance, and are accompanied by traditional musical instruments. Their performance gets its inspiration from daily life and customs, like field work, and bridal and religious ceremonies.

The performance has a long history in Brunei, which represents the traditions and culture of the nation. Performers are university and high school students who are caretakers of the age-old civilization.

Every country's people have their own perspective to an ideal urban life. To Bruneian people, traditional culture is the spirit of urban life. On the Expo stage, they spread the unique fascination of Brunei to the whole world.
